We will be recruiting 42 carers across 7 NHS sites and via remote recruitment strategies (e.g., social media).
Carer inclusion criteria
- 18 years old or more;
- Spoken understanding of the English language (with the help of family translators if required)
- Currently caring for a person with dementia (all subtypes, diagnosed within the last 5 years).
- Has a first-degree relationship (spouse/partner, sibling, son or daughter) with a person with dementia;
- OR must have a close personal relationship with a person with dementia (e.g. in-law family member, close friend or neighbour)
- Has capacity to give informed consent to participate;
- Has access to the internet (via a home computer/laptop, iPad/tablet or mobile phone with internet capability)
Staff coaching identification
- Band 4 equivalent health and social care worker or psychology assistant”
