Christopher Buckingham specialises in building decision support systems linking mathematical analysis of large data sets with psychological processes that humans naturally use to understand their world. He developed the GRiST cloud service (www.egrist.org) that
helps detect and manage risks associated with mental-health problems. It is used by multiple mental-health providers, including the NHS, and has spun out into its own company. Funding secured by Buckingham includes grants from InnovateUK, European Commission EIT Health KIC, FP7, Erasmus, NIH, ESRC, and a variety of charities. He is currently leading a Knowledge Transfer Partnership for mental-health in the workplace.
