Ian Maidment is a Professor in Clinical Pharmacy at Aston University and a mixed methods applied researcher. Prior to moving to Aston in 2012, he spent 25 years working in the NHS mainly dementia care, mental health and community pharmacy. He has published over 110 papers and presented his work at numerous international conferences. His work is focussed on helping patients and carers to get the most benefit from their medication. Recent relevant research includes MEDREV, which covered the use of medication for behavioural that challenges in people living with dementia and MEMORABLE, which focussed on medication management in older people on complex regimens living in the community.
